Clarkson CHS has an attractive school uniform chosen in consultation with the Parents and Citizens Association, School Council and Student Council. For boys a blue polo shirt and blue shorts, and for girls a white blouse and blue skirt. The school community believes the the dress code promotes equality amongst students, assists in building school spirit and enhances the public image of the school. It is also a security consideration, enabling staff to identify outsiders who should not be on school grounds. The school colours are navy blue and white. No jeans should be worn. On enrolment at Clarkson Community High School, students are expected to dress within the guidelines of the school dress code. Please note: Due to the unpopularity of Thursday opening for the uniform shop, the P&C have decided to open it on Tuesdays between 8.15 and 9.45am. This will allow students to visit before school starts.
Uniform Procedure: Zone 1: Teachers list students out of uniform on the absentee sheet and issue a Uniform Record Slip. During the school day: Any student without a Uniform Record Slip will be reported to the appropriate Co-Ordinator. Consequences for students out of uniform: 1st offense: Name taken 2nd offense and future offenses: Parents are contacted and rubbish duty or detention will be given to student. Co-Ordinators will provide correct uniform items - at the end of the school day the students can revisit the appropriate officer to swap their clothes back. Please note: Student services have a washing machine to wash the uniform items they hand out to students. If staff or students are unsure as to whether a particular clothing item is appropriate for school, please see your Year Coordinator. The table below is the uniform order form that lists acceptable clothing.
